I am no huge fan of Dior bags, normally. Its not that theyre not beautiful, because they are. Theyre distinctive in style, expertly designed, and very chic. Theyre usually very structured and a bit stiff, though, and thats just not my style, so I rarely stop to look at them. What caught my eye today, though, was the Dior Shrunken Cannage Hobo. Its more my speed - a slouchy, soft hobo in a vivid, solid color. What initially stopped me is that the color is so beautiful and glowing for cold weather. Its totally appropriate as a winter neutral and the shade is so warm that I cant stop looking at it. What made me have to tell you guys about it, though, is that its made out of lamb leather - maybe its just me, but I took one look at that bag and assumed it was made of silk or satin. When have you ever seen leather have a sheen like that, people? I dont know how they dyed or sealed the material to make it look like that, but whatever they did, it was an inspired choice. Id love to see the same bag in a purple or wine color as well - how gorgeous would that be?
